| 7:05 pm | Private to Elektra I don't know how to say what I have to say. I don't think I can get it all out if I try to say it out loud, so I may as well type it here. At least then I'll have my thoughts collected. We can talk about it after you've read it, but I don't think either of us will have much to say. I think we both have noticed that we're both acting different as of late. I have a lot of things I have to sort through--my life, my future, my "powers"... everything. And you've changed, too. After what happened with Bullseye... you're a different person. I'm a different person. Being here has opened my eyes (figuratively speaking, of course) to so many things I never knew were possible. This place is a new world for me. It's shown me that I still can have a future, I can have a life, even with my impairment. I need some time. I don't know how much time, and I don't know where I'm going to be after said time. But I have to have it, and I have to do this alone. I have soul searching to do. I have to figure out who I am before we can be together again. I'm sorry. I love you. Matt |

| 7:15 am | Listened to the races again. I miss the thrill of the race. Not exactly much fun to watch when you can't see the horses. But it's nice to hear that my favorites are still up and running. |

| 9:35 am | I didn't realize how lonely it felt around the school without Warren, Kurt, Betsy, and Donald around until they came back. The mansion seems to have come back to life now that they've returned. |

| 1:20 pm | I was listening to the horse races yesterday, and a horse whose odds were 99:1 came in first. A $2 bet on that horse to win would have won over $200. Really makes you think, doesn't it? Hey Elektra, we should jump off the roof again. That was liberating. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a rush. Except Bobby. We don't need two boys hopped up on adrenaline in our room. | 7:22 am | I just read about a website called twitter. I known I was living under a rock. But I think the idea of boiling complex thoughts down to 140 characters is a logical one. It's the first step to making good propoganda. The computer makes a fairly good distraction, doesn't it? |
